The Northeast Wild Dog Action group will be at the Tallangatta Expo to inform Farmers and Rural Residents of the plans of the Victorian Government to remove the 3 kilometre livestock protection zone around rural properties. This means that it will no longer be possible to set baits or traps within that zone.
The group will have hand- out materials that highlight the ramifications of such a move, which the Victorian Government has already instituted in North Western Victoria.
It will also be possible to sign a petition on the day, asking the Government not to proceed with the plan.
A reminder that the Expo has free entry for visitors, providing an ideal opportunity for farmers and rural residents to avail themselves of the opportunity to hear what it is all about.
