TALLANGATTA EXPO WILL PROCEED DESPITE FIRES

The Towong Shire and the Upper Murray area has been severely impacted by fires which are still burning in places.

The Tallangatta Rotary Club as co-ordinator of the Expo has decided that it will proceed with the Expo on Wedesday April 15th. It feels that affected landholders will need to be able to access equipment, lost in the fires, and the Expo will give that opportunity.

In recognition of the hardship that landholders have experienced the Tallangatta Rotary Club has decided that it will channel any profits from the day into bushfire recovery in the Towong Shire, so exhibitors when booking sites will be contributing to the recovery effort.

Entry to the event is free for visitors, but visitors can donate to the recovery through a Rotary Donation Box, or by buying a raffle ticket or two in the $2000 worth of wood that will be raffled.
